They lose their humanity really fast. It’s interesting to see how quickly the people become straight up evil in this environment because, yes, they’re trying to survive. But I think when you’re in this vast, incomprehensible vacuum where your actions or your character means nothing and there’s no world and there’s no time and there’s no you.

✏️ The movie Platforms is looking at prisons and humanity. So is this feeding the idea that people can become monsters or animalistic when society is stripped from them, or are prisons purposefully designed to make them animalistic? Is it us or is it them?
Feeds into the ultimate question about civilizations being what keep us from being monsters, or what control us and keep us from being truly human?
